BRO Signboards in Ladakh

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) develops and maintains the arterial roads on the borders of India. The road construction teams have to deal with harsh climatic conditions. The BRO faces environments like the icy Himalayan mountain tops, the marshes of West Bengal and the deserts of Rajasthan. The BRO builds and maintains roads at high altitudes.

BRO practices the motto “Shramena Sarvam Sadhyam”; means “Everything is achievable through hard work”.



This post is essentially to salute this very motto of the BRO and highlight a very creative and lesser known fact about the BRO. During my recent visit to Ladakh is when I observed these interesting BRO signboards on the roads which have some really witty and clever informative messages for travelers. These off course are not the exhaustive list of signboards but comprises of the ones we observed during our road trip.
